Create personalised error pages (eg. 404, 403, 500, etc.)

• You basically have two options here
  • Create a simple page to apologise to the user and redirect them to your homepage
  • Install the Custom HTTP Error Module which will email you and store information about the error in a log

• Edit your .htaccess in the catalog folder and add this right at the top:

ErrorDocument 403 /403.htm
ErrorDocument 404 /404.htm
ErrorDocument 500 /500.htm

• Then simply create your htm pages and store them in the root folder.

• This module will allow you to receive emails of missing pages and will also store them in a text log.
